So many things in my mind now. I'm not sure whether should i continue working. Riceball asks me to quit but i'm afraid if i quit i am not able to find a new one. Frankly speaking, i hate my working condition now. I hate my sitting area. The aircon is facing me directly. I have to endure the coldness everyday. I really hate the feeling. It's really bad for health as everybody has said. But at this moment we are still full of financial burden. I can't quit just like that. I need to have a source of income.
I am really in dilemma now. At times i really feel like sending in the letter but i am also afraid that i am not able to find a new one.
Issh... !!! I really don't know what i should do now. Can someone enlighten me? :S

What am i doing ?
I have been asking myself this question many times. What am i doing in the office? i have been sitting in the office with nothing much to do since last week. i feel like a dummy here. I know i should be happy that i have no pressure at all sitting in the office without anything to do yet i still get my salary. This is sucks ! I hate this kind of life. I want to do something whether it's paperwork or just some simple coding. I hate doing research in the office. I have been doing research in the office since last two weeks.
All these while, i just sit in the office to surf the net. It makes me look so stupid. It makes me unmotivated to work at all. My skills start to deteriorate. I want to do something instead of passing my time by surfing the net aimlessly.
I start to hate my life. Boring and mundane. No achievement. Nothing !. this is what i fear most. What have i been doing all these while? Worthless at work. Useless at home !

Do you like your job?
have you ever ask yourself, do you like your job? Frankly speaking, i never like my job. I never get any fulfilment at all while working in this line for these few years.
Plus, i am working for a small company now. What i like now is that i am able to go home on time. Whenever i come to work, i don't know what i'm doing. I feel tired and lethargic the moment i reach the office. I know many peopl say it's time to look for another job. But what is the difference if you are also working in a line which you do not like at all.
It's only change of environment. Everything will still be the same. The job scopes will be the same too. So may as well stay in the same company. So this is one of the reason why i am not changing job.
Even if i really change job, i will choose another field. Definitely not my current field. Boring field.
So instead of looking for another job in another company, i will look for other job in another field.

Where are your manners?
There are many rude people in my company. I don't know why they are so rude. Whenever they come to my department and look for someone, they never say "Excuse me" or "sorry to disturb you a while". Instead they will straightaway ask you. "Where is XX?" or "XXX is here today?" in a very rude tone.
Of course, to these people, i will usually tell them "I don't know". Whatever they ask, i will just say i don't know. Why? Because they are rude to me therefore i am rude to them.
Not only that, whenever they bang into you, they will not apologize. Is this a culture in this company or these people have attitude problem? Can't they just open their mouth and say "sorry" ? Is it really that difficult? They will just say "Ouch" or "oops".
Hey I was the one being banged into. I should be the one saying "ouch". After that, they just act as though nothing has happened. What the hell is wrong with them? Where are their manners? None? Not that they are bunch of non-educated people but some of them have even higher position than me.
One word to describe them "RUDE"

Chatter Box Award Goes To...
Mr. X !. Yes, He is none other than my colleague.
I really salute him because he can non-stop. I really mean non-stop unless no one is talking to him. He can talk to anyone on any topics. The moment someone walks into our department, he will definitely strike a conversation with him/her regardless of age and race. He will not let anyone off without talking to him first.
How did he do that? I am really wondering. He can talk for hours until the person who is talking to him decided to end the conversation. I think because he/she is too thirsty to go on. So it's better to surrender now or never. No one can ever beat him in talking. Not even a lawyer.
I still remember the was a time when the colleagues in my department were on leave for a week including me. He was the only one in the office. The moment i reached my department the following week, he said, "It was a terrible week for me because none of you was in the office. I have no one to talk to." I was a bit stunned. I don't know how to answer him. The only answer i gave him was " Oh, really ? "
Isn't it good to be alone in the office?. No one is here to disturb you. You can quickly finish your work and go home on time. Doesn't he has anything to do?
If one day, he were the only human living in this earth, I think he would start talking to the animals. It's time for him to learn animal language. HAHAHA.... !!!

Meetings....
What i dreaded most while working is meetings. I don't understand why some of the companies like to have meeting very frequently. Some daily, some weekly and some monthly. Some of them even can have up to 4 - 5 meetings per day like meeting marathon. Are those meetings necessary? Can we really come out with better solutions or conclusions after the meetings? I don't think so.
To me, meetings are just a waste of time. Unless you have nothing to do in the office and have a lot of time to spare then it's alright. You can sit in the meeting room from morning till afternoon. What about those that have a lot of things to do in the office ? It's really frustrating while you are struggling to complete your work, suddenly your boss or your superior call you and said "It's time for meeting." Arghhh.... !!
Some meetings can drag for hours until you feel like you are attending a seminar. Firstly, meetings do not follow the agenda. Secondly, the chairperson does not talk straight to the point. Then, worst, out of topic. Instead of talking about issue A, he/she talks about other thing that does not relate at all or not in the agenda. Next, there are arguments between attendees due to different point of view and the chairperson does not know how to control them. He/she just sit there and listen to their debates. Hey! come on, we are not attending a debate competition. Do something about it !. In the end, no solution is found and time is wasted. Everyone just walk out from the meeting room. "Phew, alas the meeting is over. We can continue with our work". By the time the meeting is over, it's time to go home.
I know many of us who attend the meeting are mostly passive attendees. I, myself is one of them. Most of the time, the passive attendees just sit in the meeting room looking around, fidgeting at our own sit or some of us even quietly take out our phone and start sms-ing under the meeting table. Some who brought their laptop along will start surfing the net and make some typing sound to show that they are listening attentively while jotting down the important points but the actual fact they are reading some mails and msn-ing...
What i can say here is, do not make it a compulsory for all the staff to attend the meeting unless they are actively involved in it. Else, their time are wasted. With all the workload waiting for them to finish, do you think they are able to finish it on time without working extra hours to cover up the time they have lost in the meetings.
I still remember i attended a very stupid in a company. The boss asked all the staff in that particular department to attend a emergency meeting without any agenda for some so-called critical issues. He kept talking about our problems for hours and start pointing fingers at some of us for not able to solve them. Most of us just sat there listening to his lecture. In the end, did we get the solution we want? Nah... absolutely not. We wasted 2 hours in the meeting room looking at one another and idling around. If we made use of the 2 hours instead of listening to his crap, we might have already come up with some solutions.
If meeting is really necessary. Please come out with an agenda and follow it closely. Stick to the time frame given. Then, everything will be all well ends well.
